This iReport is part of an assignment:
Remembering Ted Kennedy |
Flags At Half-Staff For Sen. Kennedy - Not At President Bush's Home!
Here's and 'oddity' I thought...
This photo is of 'Walker's Point', in Kennebunkport, Maine. It's the home of former President Bush. The photo was taken on Thursday (8/27/2009 at about 4:30PM.)
As I've been driving around New England every flag that I've seen is flying at half-mast out of respect for the death of Sen. Ted Kennedy. However, this is the only place that I saw not one, but two American Flags still flying at full staff!
Personally, I thought that being past American President, and probably having worked closely with Sen. Kennedy, that Mr. Bush, a past President, would have had more respect for the late U.S. Senator and ordered his flags lowered too!
