This iReport is part of an assignment:
Sound-off |
America's Voice
With the advances in modern technology, and the apparent disconnect with the common people of the Federal Government, I propose an idea.
What if all legislation was put on a secured site that all US citizens could access those eligeble to vote, can vote yeah or nah on the proposed legislation. If each legal voter would only be allowed one vote per issue. They would also be able to leave a message as to why they voted for or against said legislation. If a piece of legislation recieve 0 to 19% for legislation should be dropped. If it recieves 20to 39% the legislators should review the peoples response and resubmit to the people. 40 plus can go to the floor for a vote. The legislators can then vote knowing the opinions of the people.
This would stop 2000 page fly by night legislation. And return government to the people. Lobbiest can't reach us all.
