Rally against Spectra Pipeline at a Children's Playground in NYC
On Sunday July 1st at the Highline Ballroom Reverend Billy and The Church of stop stopping in conjunction with SANE, OWS Enviromental Solidarity along with other groups held a fundraiser and rally against the Spectra pipeline coming across the Hudson river from New Jersey and entering through a Children's playground just west of West st and Jane St. The pipeline is planned to run to the West Village under the Highline. Protesters march 5 blocks to the site the spectra pipeline is entering NYC and put on Environmental suits in front of families and children playing in the playground on the hot Sunday afternoon.
