    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     glennwester told me, 'I went to West Meadow Beach in Stony Brook NY. I set up my camera on the ground there and watched as this shelf cloud moved in. There was a terribly strong gust front that preceded the storm, with at least 40mph winds. The people on the beach immediately fled, I stayed up and took photos.'
