    Perseid Meteor Shower TIme Lapse

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     NormanJester waited outside for six hours in Big Bear Lake, California, capturing a time-lapse video of the Perseid meteor shower. He says watching the meteor shower was amazing to see. 'Seeing them with your own eyes and then having the ability to show people what you have seen is just a better way to live,' he said, explaining why he enjoys nocturnal photography. 'Most people don't see the beauty of the night because they are inside or sleeping and paying no attention to it. There's so much more to be seen with your own eyes,' he said.

    I could not stay awake to catch the best hours of this years Perseid meteor shower so I used my hobby to catch it for me and ended up with this nice time lapse showing several of the Perseids flying by as viewed from my house back porch in Big Bear Lake, California. As a homeowner in Big Bear Lake, I hope this video inspires more people to visit this beautiful place in the Summer and Winter. It is the best for stargazing! I hope you enjoy my work.
