Gang violence=domestic terrorism??

My 17yr old daughter fell victim to gang violence in Oakland,Ca.

on labor day. The next day her murderer or another gang member

proudly bragged about it on Myspace. I have since seen that myspace is also " gang central" containing many sites of known gangs aimed at

recruiting, perpetuating propaganda and yes, bragging about the murders of rival gangs and innocents alike. In lieu of their apparent disregard for life and the terrorist-like tactics they employ, should

they be treated as domestic terrorists?

My question is on employment discrimination that is prohibited by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This issue is very personal to me because in 2001 I appealed my dismissed Title VII case Pro-Se to the United States Supreme Court. Based two previous Supreme Court rulings in Anderson v Libby Lobby, Inc.,477 US 242,255 (1986) and Reeves v Sanderson Plumbing Products, Inc 530 U.S. 133 (2000) I should have survived the defendant’s summary judgment as a matter of law.

The district court should not have denied me a jury trial because I presented direct evidence that proved that several of the declarations filed in my case contained perjured explanations for the actions of New York State Department of Correctional Services personnel.

My question to you as an educated Harvard attorney what advice would you give me to nine years later that would give me some sort of peace and a sense of justice after such an emotional, financial, and spiritual defeat?

San Jose is known as the capitol of the Silicon Valley. It is he largest in the bay area, 3 largest in California and 10 largest in US. It’s named as the 4^th safest big city of US in 1998-1999. In tech museum you can see the technology which affects our life. San Jose museum of art is known for its modern collection of art. Explosives found in Dutch train

Earlier this morning explosives we're found in a train in the Dutch city Den Bosch, the Dutch Railways (NS) said. Experts are busy dismantling the bomb. A man has been taken into custody.

The police haven't confirmed this message. However, office buildings close to the station are being evacuated.

A video has been uploaded on YouTube. On this video you see how the station in Den Bosch is being evacuated after an employee asked to leave the station. Everything is running smoothly and within ten minutes, the entire station is empty. Half an hour later the square in front of the station and the buildings surrounding the station have been evacuated too.

The explosives we're found in an InterCity, travelling from Roosendaal to Zwolle.

No traffic

Since eight o' clock there is no train traffic to and from Den Bosch. The station was evacuated as well.

Suspect

According to a spokesman a man was arrested in the train earlier this morning. The man was seen confused and passengers called security. Eyewitnesses say he was wearing a white dress and a green coat.

He didn't had a backpack with him but he did wear something in his ear, perhaps an earphone.

Allah Akbar

Another eyewitness, working for Radio Netherlands Worldwide, said the man was asking for a sigaret, went away and came back a minute later. He said: "Allah Akbar" (God is big) and begun shouting: "I have a bomb with me and it's activated", "I'm against Bin Laden", "Nobody believes I've got a bomb with me". He was very confused.

When he was stopped he said that he would let a bomb explode. Police officers are currently talking with the man.

The other passengers have left the train.

Calm

Reporter Maino Remmers, from Dutch news organisation NOS, went to Den Bosch and spoke with travellers at the station. They responded calm to the message that explosives we're found in the train. Shops, offices and homes are being evacuated.

The mayor of Den Bosch has arrived at the station.

La Gonave, the forgotten island

La Gonave, 65km x 15km, lies in the middle of the Haitian gulf, and it is part of Haiti, although the central government has systematically ignored it and its 100,000 people, who have now grown to an unspecified number as refugees arrive daily from mainland after the earthquake.

The island power was cut off in 1987, it has no sealed roads, sewerage and latrines were never built and water is extremely scarce as the water table is lowering; the economy relies on little agricultural produce sold at the local market and/or in Port au Prince, which leaves next to nothing after the ferry fee has been paid.

Our Association is now feeding 160 children - double the ones we normally feed - and more arrive. Our funds for the school meal plan that were supposed to last until June, will now hardly feed all by the end of February.

Our President spoke to the "big" ones only to hear that they help "their partners" only (source: World Vision!).

We have a cluster of 70 homeless families in the Palma-Nan Coton district, and we are working around the clock for them, here in Australia, but we will not be able to raise the money for repairs before the rains come. More importantly we doubt that a hurried reconstruction would be according to good workmanship standards, so perhaps we should opt for a "Shelter Box" type of solution, for the time being and then proceed with fund raising during the year, enabling better workmanship on-site.

I have contacted Rotary asking for some Boxes, but I am sure they are also snowed under.

The photos of all the units show little and/or badly made foundations, if at all, no diagonal bracing, bad cement-mixing. The structures that are still standing are those wooden-woven, although timber might be more expensive than cement (US$16.00/bag) in Haiti, as the country has been cutting trees to make fuel for stoves over the last two centuries. Haiti might be rich in gas, and many might be drilling, but certainly there are very few gas stoves in the country!

There is an engineer on La Gonave, and, providing we buy some time with temporary accommodations, he can ensure that proper building instructions are followed. We would need to buy at least one hand-operated cement mixer, to start with. This could be used in turns and would already improve cement mixing as compared with mixing it with a shovel only.

We were in the process of buying a land and build a green school and community centre, and will proceed with such plan after life resumes. For now we can only ensure that all children survive as without them there is no life.

And the rains are coming.
